This Acceptable Use Policy keeps the relyd Service safe, reliable and lawful for all customers. It forms part of the Master Subscription Agreement ("MSA") and applies to the Customer and all its Users.
1. Unlawful and harmful content
The Service must not be used to store, process, send or distribute:
- content that is unlawful, including content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or data protection rights;
- child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits minors;
- content that incites violence, terrorism or hatred;
- malware, including viruses, ransomware, spyware and other harmful code;
- material used for fraud, phishing, deception, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or other unlawful financial activities;
- goods or services whose offer is prohibited by applicable law, or that are subject to sanctions and export controls.
2. E-mail and messaging
2.1 E-mails and messages sent through the Service must comply with applicable law, in particular the rules on electronic marketing and consent.
2.2 The following are not permitted:
- unsolicited bulk messages (spam);
- the use of purchased or harvested address lists;
- forging sender information or headers;
- sending from domains or mailboxes the Customer is not authorised to use.
2.3 relyd may limit or stop the sending of e-mails from a Workspace if messages are reported as spam or bounce at an unusually high rate.
3. Security
The following are not permitted:
- attempting to access other customers' Workspaces or data, or the systems of relyd, without authorisation;
- circumventing authentication, permissions, usage limits or other security measures;
- scanning, probing or testing the Service for vulnerabilities, or carrying out penetration tests, without prior written permission from relyd;
- intercepting or monitoring traffic that is not addressed to the Customer;
- impersonating relyd staff or other persons, or using social engineering against relyd or its customers.
Security vulnerabilities found in good faith should be reported to security@relyd.co. relyd will not take legal action against researchers who report responsibly, do not access more data than necessary, and give relyd reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosure.
4. Fair use of resources
4.1 The Customer shall not use the Service in a way that impairs its availability or performance for other customers. Examples are:
- excessive automated requests;
- denial-of-service attacks;
- deliberately inflating data volumes, for example by flooding logs or files.
4.2 APIs must be used in accordance with the Documentation and the rate limits applied to them. Requests exceeding a limit may be rejected temporarily. Large data imports should use the import functions of the Service.
4.3 Storage and other volume limits are set out in the plan ordered. If a Workspace exceeds the limits of its plan, relyd will contact the Customer to agree on an upgrade or on reducing the volume.
4.4 The Service must not be scraped or crawled by automated means, and accounts must not be created by automated means, except through the APIs provided for that purpose.
5. Enforcement
5.1 If relyd becomes aware of a breach of this policy, it may:
- ask the Customer to remedy the breach;
- remove or block the content concerned;
- restrict functions;
- suspend the Workspace in accordance with section 9.5 of the MSA.
Where possible and legally permitted, relyd will inform the Customer first and give it the opportunity to remedy the breach.
5.2 Serious or repeated breaches entitle relyd to terminate the MSA for cause.
5.3 Where required by law, relyd will report illegal content to the competent authorities.
6. Reporting abuse
Abuse of the Service, such as spam or phishing sent through relyd, can be reported to abuse@relyd.co. Please include the relevant messages with their full headers or other evidence.
